Roses are red, violets are blue, we’re nuts about nuts – and you should be too!

Greetings Granudie-foodies!

Did you know – a nut, or the edible kernel inside a hard shell, is actually a dry fruit? The exception to this is peanuts, which are legumes and therefore technically vegetables. You’re welcome.

Rich in calcium, protein, unsaturated fats and a variety of vitamins and minerals including folate, potassium and iron, nuts are the shining stars in our Granudie granola blends.

The existing body of literature on the health benefits of nuts continues to grow, with consistent findings of reduced hunger, reduced risk of heart disease, reduced weight-gain and reduced cholesterol.

Fun Fact: Australia is the second largest producer of almonds in the world. In 2015 the area under production was 31,115 ha – producing a record crop of 82,509 tonnes.

Nuts are also key in creating Granudie's signature crunchy texture and complex flavour profiles, all of which have an unmistakable earthy undertone that absolutely sings when paired with tangy yoghurt, sweet fruits or chocolate.

Well, that’s it in a nutshell.

You may now leave the table.
